Service Description
Breathwork is an umbrella term for any time you take conscious control of your breath and use it as a vehicle to create a shift in your physiology and/or state of mind. Pranayama is a profound yogic practice of exploring and expanding the vital life force energy within, using the breath as our vehicle. Jeannette focuses on providing guidance and support for practitioners who navigate the intricate dance between professional obligations and family commitments that modern life demands. In a society that prioritizes productivity and high performance, yoga and mindfulness practices are often conflated with self-optimization. However, she invites us to shift our perspective of mindfulness practices as lenses that reveal our raw and authentic experience of life - becoming acquainted with discomfort as a compass for wellbeing and problem-solving. In-person and online via Zoom! **Please send me an email if you would like to join virtually online so that you can gain access to the Zoom link. What to Expect - This class involves practices where you will be lying, sitting, or standing with some techniques requiring more movement. (variations are available for most health and physical abilities, please speak to me privately to find out if this class is a good fit for you.) - Learn a wide variety of pranayama, breathwork, techniques for down-regulation and up-regulation. - Practice breathing exercises regardless of your previous experience, there is something for everyone. - Opportunities to ask questions and share after class. - Trauma-Informed Sessions Attending Class Arrive 5 minutes early to check in, turn off cell phones, and get comfortable. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to fully expand through the belly. Refrain from eating at least 2.5 hours before class, this class is most beneficial on an empty stomach. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel an online booking up to 24 hours before the class. If you cancel after this time you will not receive a refund however you may transfer your booking to another class/date if you cancel at least 3 hours before the scheduled session. Workshops & Courses: When booking, we will only offer a full refund when cancelling more than 48hrs before the beginning of the event. If you cancel a course or workshop with less than 48hrs notice, a refund will only be available at the facilitator's discretion. You may sell your booking to another client at no additional cost. In the case of a course or workshop being cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund, or the option of being transferred to another workshop or course of equal value. No refunds will be offered the day before or the same day of any course or workshop.
