Service Description
"Mind is king to the body. Breath is king to the mind" - B.K.S Ianger. The Breath invites us to come into awareness with the landscapes of our breath. Pranayama is a profound yogic practice of exploring and expanding our vital life force energy. In these sessions, the breath is our vehicle to connect with the movement of energy. Throughout the practice, we'll feel into various breathing techniques from classic pranayama, kyrias and qi gong, with an emphasis on trauma sensitivity and working towards nervous system harmony. Allowing you space to explore your unique relationship with your breath and energy flow at your pace. Jeannette focuses on providing guidance and support for students who seek to find harmony within the intricate dance between professional obligations and family commitments that modern life demands. In a society that prioritizes productivity and high performance, mindfulness practices are often used as tools for self-optimization. However, Jeannette invites us to shift our perspective of mindfulness practices to one that can help us reveal our raw and authentic experience of life - becoming acquainted with any discomfort as a compass for wellbeing and decision-making. What you can expect: - You will be lying, sitting, or standing with some techniques requiring more movement. (variations are available for most health and physical abilities, please speak to Jeannette privately to find out if this class is a good fit for you.) - Learn a wide variety of pranayama and breathwork techniques for nervous system harmony - No previous experience is required, there is something for everyone. - Opportunities to ask questions and share after class. - Trauma-Informed Sessions Attending Class Arrive 5 minutes early to check in and get comfortable. Wear comfortable clothing that allows full expansion of the belly. Refrain from eating at least 2 hours before class, this class is most beneficial on an empty stomach. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel an online booking up to 24 hours before the class. If you cancel after this time you will not receive a refund however you may transfer your booking to another class/date if you cancel at least 3 hours before the scheduled session. Workshops & Courses: When booking, we will only offer a full refund when cancelling more than 48hrs before the beginning of the event. If you cancel a course or workshop with less than 48hrs notice, a refund will only be available at the facilitator's discretion. You may sell your booking to another client at no additional cost. In the case of a course or workshop being cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund, or the option of being transferred to another workshop or course of equal value. No refunds will be offered the day before or the same day of any course or workshop.
